The DeMonKeys are: Ivo Vanore (Ivol drumline, drum), Domenico Marinelli (meniFresh, bass), Federico Cudia (chicCoFisH, keyboards and synthesizers).
The three musicians were born and grew up in the italian province of Pordenone, but they came from different music environment. Their hunger and curiousity to listen, play and experiment every kind of music gave them a wealth of experience that the DeMonKeys will take advantage. Ivol created the project in 2011; just after Meni and Chicco walked in, the band became the melodic-rhythmic triangle where, day by day, month after month, the songs are born, in a fresh "unawareness" in which one only voice would not be able to inhabit their different musical spaces. Checco was the first soul voice, wanted by Ivol.
They recruited american mc, AK, for the hip-hop because his eclectic style perfectly sewed to the plots of the project. The DeMonKeys not only mixed their elements, but also added the precious reggae collaboration of Lo. Garzia, half a heart the Mellow Mood, and the delicate female voice of Francesca Lucia Rossi.
Right from the start, the success in the live shows, convinced Ivol to collect part of the material in the album Demonkeys that was released in december 2013. The album was recorded and mixed in Paolo Baldini's studio (Alambic Conspiracy), producer of I tre allegri ragazzi morti, Mellow Mood and bassplayer of Africa Unite. Baldini gathered the stylistic figure of the DeMonKeys and built up a fresh and refined product.
The trip-hop of Cyaan ta ya and Medusa, the dub of Natural Sound, Burning Song and Dubfender, the hip-hop of Flash, DeMonKeys, Freeze and 2nd Call mix with the soul of Sunshine: different strengths unfurl even more the sails of the ship DeMonKeys toward the route of contamination.
